THE SAINT IN NORTH AMERICA

March 02 2009

Once again, our Saint is due to set foot on American soil. At the end of March a relic of Saint Anthony from his Basilica in Padua will be in Toronto to meet his faithful in Canada. He will then proceeed to New York in the United States.

This will be a unique opportunity to meet the Saint and to receive a special blessing at the end of Mass. Each gathering will be a moment of prayerful encounter and an opportunity to meet our brothers and sisters whom we, the friars of the Basilica of Saint Anthony in Padua, consider members of the ‘great family of Saint Anthony’.

Accompanying the relic to Toronto will be Fr. Danilo Salezze, General Director of our magazine, Fr. Luciano Segafreddo, director of the Italian edition for Italians living abroad, and our editor, Fr. Mario Conte, director of the English international edition.
